Why Should I Adopt an Animart Pet?

  • ANIMART takes pride in how we care for our puppies and in the fact that all our puppies come from reputable breeders, rescue groups and from unplanned, unwanted litters.  ANIMART is committed to providing physically and psychologically healthy pets to our customers.
  • All commercial breeders (three or more breeding females) must be USDA licensed and comply with regulations and standards enforced by APHIS with periodic unannounced inspections.  These inspections are public record and are monitored by ANIMART for any reported violations.  The requirements cover housing, handling, sanitation, food, water, exercise, veterinary care, transportation and protection against extremes of weather and temperature.
  • All commercial breeders must also meet and commit to ANIMART’s Breeders Excellence Standards, including clean, modern facilities, humane care guidelines, follow good breeding practices, establish a program of veterinary care along with regular veterinary visits to their facilities, and agree to ANIMART’s health guarantee.  Puppies must be at least 8 weeks of age and weaned before leaving the breeder’s facility.
  • In addition, ANIMART visits each commercial breeder at least annually to ensure compliance to ANIMART’s Breeders Excellence Standards.  ANIMART reports any violations of USDA regulations.  We want all ANIMART staff to be able to honestly look our customers in the eye and say our puppies are not from substandard facilities.
  • All non-commercial “hobby” and AKC breeders must also certify that they follow the key requirements of ANIMART’s Breeders Excellence Standards.
  • Our veterinary staff performs examinations, treats any diagnosed health problem, maintains individual health records and establishes protocols.  A signed Veterinary Health Certificate and complete health record are provided with each puppy.  Each adoption includes the first full year of vaccinations, including Rabies.  Puppies are tested for giardia, coccidia and parvo, are started on Heartworm, flea and tick prevention and fed a high quality puppy food.
  • We are proud to say that all our puppies and kittens are spayed or neutered before leaving our facility, thus not adding to pet overpopulation problems.  We know our puppies will not end up at substandard breeding facilities.
  • ANIMART’s adoption counselors help customers choose the best puppy for their lifestyle based on exercise needs, breed characteristics and disposition, meeting the best needs of both pet and people.  By offering a larger selection of breeds the perfect match is often available.  New owners are advised of their responsibilities of dog ownership, basic dog care, future health needs, nutrition and training.  ANIMART reserves the right to refuse an adoption.
  • LIMITED HEALTH GUARANTEE.  Your new puppy is guaranteed to be free of any known infection or disease, unless otherwise noted at time of sale, for a period of 14 days.  Congenital and hereditary defects are guaranteed until 1 year of age (except for rescue puppies).
  • ANIMART veterinarians and staff are pet lovers and are dedicated to providing proper care for animals.  Staff are trained to evaluate the health of our animals and follow veterinary protocols.  Our goal is to provide physically and psychologically healthy pets from responsible breeders to responsible, forever homes.
